How To Navigate The Website

  • Since more than one digital water color might be taken at the same location or geographical area, the website is arranged first by geographical location and then specific water colors taken at this location.

An example of this hierarchy is :

    Location : Glacier Mountain
Digital Water Color : Glacier Mountain Fall

Notice that a specific water color can be identified by a feature, season, date, or occasion that occurs at the Location.

The menu button View Digital Water Color Album is for this purpose. This link takes you to a page where all the digital water colors on the website can be conveniently paged thru and selected. It displays a preview of each water color and allows you to select it. You can then display it full size, get information about it, and purchase any of the sizes it is available in.

Each specific digital water color contains some or all of following links:
    • The View Digital Water Color Album is a link to all the water colors on the website, Locations and single ones. Use the double right and left hand arrows at the top of the album to page through it.

Mounting Requirements for Digital Water Color Prints

  • DigiSimPat prints are of the very finest quality that is usually found in museums and expensive art galleries. You will receive your print(s) rolled up and carefully stored in a rugged, round shipping tube. This method insures that you will receive the print(s) in the same condition they were in when we finished them and prepared them for shipment.

  • Sunset Velvet Rag Prints

    • Due to the fibre nature of Sunset Velvet Rag, the print will not lay flat immediately after unrolling it from the shipping tube. Allowing the print to lay unrolled, printed side up, for a few days will help it to release most of it's curled up nature. Also noticeable may be a small amount of gentle, wavy rolls across the narrow dimension of the print. These are caused by the application of the clear acrylic finish we spray on the print. This finish allows you to view the digital water color print with all the velvet (or etching like) matte surface qualities uninhibted by any glass or acrylic covering over the print itself. In order to insure that none of these wavy rolls exist in the mounted and framed print, it is imperative that it be properly mounted to an archival, acid-free mounting board. There are several foam core mounting board types that fit this description in both white and black.

    • The actual mounting of the print to the backing board should probably be done by a framing shop or someone who does this on a regular basis and has the proper materials and equipment. We can recommend Miracle Muck as a wet adhesive for the job. Another method is Dry Mounting and we recommend Bienfang Ragmount Dry Mount Tissue or one of it's equivalents. Standard foamcore board is NOT recommended as it tends to warp and stays warped even after mounting. Using Gator-Board will eliminate this problem completely.

    • Please make sure you have investigated how your print(s) will be mounted before you order. After proper mounting, you may choose any frame that is strong enough to hold these prints. Remember, for the 28" x 38" Sunset Velvet Rag matted print, there is no mat needed, it is part of the digital water color print. The 24" x 36" Sunset Velvet Rag unmatted print can be matted as you wish or mounted with no mat. There should be no covering, such as glass or acrylic in front of the Sunset Velvet Rag prints as this hides the beauty and texture of the print. This media type can be dusted and/or cleaned as necessary using a Micro-Fibre cloth.

  • Canvas Gallery Wrapped Prints

    • These canvas prints are mirrored on all four sides and require a gallery wrap frame that is 1 3/4" deep. One of the best and easiest to use frames comes from Imageworks Supply and is sold under the name of Wraptek stretcher bars.

    • An important note about mounting this canvas, be sure that the gallery wrap frame has corner braces or a back brace. This helps insure that the finished wrap will stay tight and not sag in the middle as it ages over time.

    • Please make sure you have investigated how your canvas wrap will be mounted before you order. After proper mounting, you can place this wrap in a shadow box if desired. This media type can be dusted and/or cleaned as necessary using a Micro-Fibre cloth.
